This morning I wasn’t into it. ⁣
I was tired. The garage was hot and humid. ⁣
I was dehydrated. ⁣
My body self image sucked. ⁣
The weights felt heavier today. ⁣
I stayed out of breath. ⁣

It is said that social media is where we post our best side. ⁣
I suppose I am guilty of that too. ⁣
Sometimes I feel like filming when I feel strong and confident. ⁣
Other days I’m just trying to push through. ⁣

Being positive all the time is an illusion. ⁣
I don’t care who you are. ⁣

Some days it’s hard. But I’ve made a commitment to myself. ⁣
Discipline is keeping a promise you have made to yourself. ⁣

I may not be “feeling it”⁣
The day I have to pull a citizen or a brother out of a fire. Doesn’t matter. Gotta push through. ⁣
I may not be “feeling it”⁣
The day I have try and pull my son out of an autistic meltdown in a public place – having to carry him a mile to the car while remaining calm while he punches in the face and kicks me in the throat. ⁣
I may not be “feeling it”⁣
The day I have to protect my family and friends from a lunatic with low self confidence and a weapon. ⁣

Pushing past the sense of having to put in work on good days only is half the battle. That’s what this is all about. There never is a perfect moment. Yes I get tired and sore. Not nearly as much as in the beginning. But I feel confident enough to get out there and crush today no matter what weak thoughts or emotions plague my brain. ⁣
