PATRICK D. MCCORMICK

Patrick McCormick is a musician, artist, author, poet, disc golfer, podcaster, and all-around creative personality.

MUSIC

Patrick began his music career in 1997, with the establishment of industrial bands Breech Doll and Another Earthly Dimension. After releasing numerous cassettes under those project titles, he left them in 1999 and founded Media Violence and Neuroexorcism.

Media Violence is an industrial electronic/metal band that began in 2000 and has released eight albums between 2000 and 2009. Neuroexcorcism is an ambient music project that started around the same time to release McCormick’s ambient electronic work. Media Violence experienced popularity in the East Coast industrial scene in the early 2000s.
He is still issuing releases under these project titles.

In 2009, McCormick began the industrial/EBM project Aggressive Attack. He released two albums under this title.

McCormick has been involved in numerous other projects over the past twenty years, including Tape Eater (Alternative Metal), Faith Through Fear (Darkwave Gothic), and Strange Sounds in the Sky (Punk).

POET/AUTHOR

McCormick has released two books of poetry that are currently out of print. He is currently working on a novel.

DISC GOLF

A passionate disc golfer, McCormick wrote and released the memoir/sports psychology book Zen & the Art of Disc Golf in 2015. The same year he began The Zen Disc Golf Podcast, which released 30 episodes between 2015 and 2016. In 2016, McCormick released his second disc golf book, Discs & Zen. In 2020, McCormick’s third disc golf book, Disc Golf Strategy, and Tactics, was released. The Zen Disc Golf Podcast is returning in 2021.

PODCASTER

In addition to hosting The Zen Disc Golf podcast, he has also been a co-host of The Keeping Track Podcast, which was devoted to documenting the friendship and musical history of McCormick and Arin Bennett. In 2018 McCormick co-hosted The Animal Mind Podcast with Zach Engelhart.
